To do

Sodwana offers much more….

A2posterDennisSodwana enjoys sub-tropical weather, with warm water year-round. Temperatures vary from very hot to cool during the winter mornings. The best diving is from April to September, the winter months. The area is covered with dense coastal forest offering exquisite scenery, bird watching and a number of small mammals. There are a number of game reserves and game lodges a short distance from Sodwana.

Sodwana Bay is located in South Africa and is an ideal diving location if you are interested in a large variety of marine life and ocean topography options. The bay itself is located in a marine reserve that is known as the Greater St. Lucia Wetlands Park, so you are going to be sure of seeing a lot of well preserved reef areas as well as abundant marine life.

Visit thescubasite.com or contact Kevin at scubaworld.co.za for some great diving opportunities.

IMG_1412In summer, loggerhead and leatherback turtles come out of the sea on to the beaches to lay their eggs. Leatherback Turtles are the largest living marine reptiles and live almost their entire lives at sea. The only time that they are on land is when the female turtles lay eggs, and when hatchlings emerge from the nest and make their way to ocean.
